Country music sensation Shaboozey is set to be the headline act at the FanDuel Kentucky Derby Party, which marks the event's second year. It's a big get for one of our best sports betting sites.

The invite-only party is slated for Friday, May 2, at Paristown Arts and Entertainment District in Louisville, Ky., and the Grammy-nominated artist is likely to be a popular feature following in the footsteps of last year’s performers, Luke Bryan and Ne-Yo.

Shaboozey has been hailed as the future of country music after his latest album, Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going, debuted in the top five of the Billboard 200. Speaking about the event, the performer said that he was hyped to be part of the Derby in 2025, “It’s one of those bucket list events you dream about playing and we’ll be bringing serious vibes to Louisville with FanDuel.”

Thoroughbred aftercare

FanDuel’s involvement with the Derby includes a $100,000 donation to the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance (TAA), a nonprofit organization that supports the care, retraining, and rehoming of retired racehorses through various subsidiaries. That type of action keeps the sportsbook as one of our best Kentucky Derby betting sites.

FanDuel has been working with the TAA for five years, and speaking about this year’s donation, FanDuel’s General Manager of Racing, Andrew Moore, emphasized the importance of horses and horse racing to the brand.

“The Kentucky Derby is a celebration of tradition, energy, and unforgettable moments. Horse racing is where FanDuel’s journey began, and it remains a central part of who we are as a company. Between the iconic FanDuel party and our donation to the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance, we’re looking forward to making FanDuel’s presence in Louisville known,” said Moore.

Racing heritage

A vital part of US racing heritage, the Kentucky Derby, first run in 1875, along with its sister race, the Oaks, is the oldest US sports event held annually. It is the first race in the Triple Crown, which also includes the Preakness Stakes and the Belmont Stakes, and it comes at the end of a two-week racing festival. It makes for a great few weeks for our best horse racing betting sites.

Journalism, trained by Michael W. McCarthy, is the current favorite for the race. He has won four of his five races so far, including the Grade I Santa Anita Derby, and has come in for strong support in the wake of his latest success. You won't even need a FanDuel promo code ahead of the race, but you should make sure you're up to date with how to bet on horse racing.

FanDuel is one of the largest sports betting and Daily Fantasy Sports brands in the US, having a presence in all 50 states and being the official sports wagering partner for the Derby. Recently, FanDuel’s sports betting-oriented digital cable FanDuel TV announced that it had secured the rights to cover each prep race before the 151st Kentucky Derby begins.
