WrestleMania Weekend Could Draw Up to 180K Visitors to Vegas

WWE is bringing its show to Las Vegas with a full schedule of events that could attract as many as 180,000 visitors.
The centerpiece is WrestleMania itself, which takes place at Allegiant Stadium on Saturday and Sunday and features some of the biggest wrestling stars, headlined by John Cena, who is currently atop the WrestleMania 41 odds, and Cody Rhodes, who will fight for the WWE's undisputed championship.
In addition to the big show, visitors can check out Friday Night SmackDown and Monday Night Raw, along with NXT Stand & Deliver, all of which will be staged at T-Mobile Arena. And for fans who want a break from the main action, there’s the fan-fest that is WWE World, which runs Thursday through Monday at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Spectacular event
Estimates by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) suggest that the total number of visitors to Las Vegas over the weekend could reach 180,000, equating to 144,000 incremental nights at city hotels.
The LVCVA signed a $5 million sponsorship deal with the WWE to host the event, and that is likely to be money well spent.
Applied Analysis, a Las Vegas-based consulting firm, suggested that it could be one of the biggest events staged in the city, ranking alongside the Super Bowl, the National Finals Rodeo, and even the Formula One Grand Prix. That race generated an estimated $934 million in economic benefits in 2024, so city businesses have plenty of reason to be optimistic ahead of what is usually one of the quieter weekends of the year for tourism.
“The WrestleMania brand and the Vegas brand is pretty fun to play with. I think it is going to be a spectacular event, and we’re going to elevate WrestleMania like the other events that have come to Las Vegas,” said LVCVA President and CEO Steve Hill.
Final preparations
In the run-up to Thursday, the city has been making final preparations, which included displaying mock WWE belts and related signage at major landmarks, including the MGM Grand, Caesars Palace, and Harry Reid International Airport.
There were still some tickets remaining for the weekend’s matches on Tuesday, although the cheapest for Saturday and Sunday were $140 and $210, respectively. A two-day ticket would set you back a hefty $1,600.
WrestleMania is the latest event hosted in Sin City, as it aims to become a go-to sports destination. It staged the 2024 Super Bowl and will host the 2027 College Football Championship Play-off and the 2028 NCAA Men’s Final Four.
