Best Home Run Prop Bets, MLB Player Prop Odds Tonight: April 7

A new week of digging for dingers lies ahead in our best home run prop bets today, and the last one ended with a +600 hit on Jose Ramirez to go deep.
That was a rogue price on the Cleveland Guardians slugger, and we're attacking another such outlier today while looking at Ian Happ of the Chicago Cubs. We're also eyeing Julio Rodriguez and Bobby Witt Jr. to keep up their sizzling ways, and hoping the awakening of Francisco Lindor continues.

Here's a breakdown of my best MLB home run prop predictions and expert picks today. Check out the rest of our MLB picks along with our guide on how to bet on MLB.
βΎ Francisco Lindor (Mets) to hit a home run βββ
Best odds: +450 via FanDuel (bet $10 to win $45)
Francisco Lindor is among a handful of stars who have been scuffling to begin the young season. Lindor is slashing .172/.257/.499 through eight games, which is all stunning by his lofty standards.
But that presents us with a buy-low opportunity, especially after Lindor has been showing glowing signs of his typical form lately. He's recorded a hit in five straight games, two of which have gone for extra bases.
The dynamic shortstop is rising from his slumber, and a five-tool star who's clubbed 30-plus homers in two straight seasons (and in five campaigns overall during his career) isn't going to stay down much longer.
The switch-hitter belted 22 of his 33 home runs last season against righties too, and he gets to face one tonight in the Miami Marlins' Valente Bellozo, who's making just his 15th career start.

βΎ Bobby Witt Jr. (Royals) to hit a home run βββ
Best odds: +480 via FanDuel (bet $10 to win $48)
Witt is very much not among the sputtering megastars, as he's sporting a .297 batting average and a .979 OPS, with five of his 11 hits going for extra bases. That includes his first dinger of the season on Saturday.
Like most modern-day sluggers, Witt feasts on the abundance of high-heat offerings around MLB. He slugged a mammoth .648 against four-seamers last year, according to Baseball Savant, leading to 18 of his 32 homers coming off fastballs. That sets him up well today against Simeon Woods Richardson of the Minnesota Twins, who leaned on his fastball 40.3% of the time last season.
Be sure to hurry off to FanDuel for this wager, as most of our other best MLB betting sites are posting far shorter odds, most notably Caesars at +380.
π Royals vs. Twins home run odds
βΎ Julio Rodriguez (Mariners) to hit a home runβββββ
Best odds: +400 via FanDuel (bet $10 to win $40)
We can also firmly file Rodriguez under the stars who are avoiding an April stumble, at least in the categories homer hunters care about most.
His .216 batting average shows he's not hitting for much contact yet. But that's so very easy to disregard when the contact Rodoriguez is making has consistently been of the scorching variety. Rodriguez sports an .869 OPS, with his three homers already doing much of the work there.
His temperature was especially hot during the Seattle Mariners' last series against the San Francisco Giants, which featured two of those long balls.
He now moves on the the Houston Astros and Hayden Wesneski, who's making another spot start for the rehabbing Lance McCullers. His barrel percentage sat in just the 19th percentile last season, and Wesneski has produced a career HR/9 of 1.7.
π Mariners vs. Astros home run odds
βΎ Ian Happ (Cubs) to hit a home run ββ
Best odds: +750 via FanDuel (bet $10 to win $75)
A significant motivation here is sprinting toward an extreme outlier price compared to the offerings from some of our other best sports betting sites. FanDuel lists Happ at +750 and BetMGM isn't far behind at +725. However, BetRivers is way down at +575, and Caesars goes even further at +500.
Happ is fresh off tying a career single-season high last year with his 25 homers. He can be slotted in with the tough start crowd to begin this new campaign, though the switch-hitter is waking up recently too with six hits over Happ's last four games.
The veteran gets a tough matchup tonight against Nathan Eovaldi of the Texas Rangers, hence the lower star rating. However, the outfielder has demonstrated an ability to thrive against righties. His OPS jumped from .719 against southpaws to .803 when clashing with a righty last year, and he hit 18 of his round-trippers against righties.
