The No. 7 seed Golden State Warriors (48-34) had to claw their way into the postseason via the play-in tournament, but they earned the right to play the No. 2 Houston Rockets (52-30).

🔥 1st leg: Alperen Sengun double-double ⭐⭐⭐⭐

While the Warriors have been excellent at defending the paint this season, ranking second-best in points allowed in the paint per game (45.7), they aren’t a flawless interior defense. Over five meetings with the Warriors this season, Sengun is averaging 17 points and 11.2 rebounds, including 3.2 offensive rebounds per contest.

Sengun notched a double-double in all three of his home games against the Warriors this year. He is a pricy -140 (58.3%) at FanDuel to do so again today, but with a higher workload likely coming his way now that we’re in the playoffs, it’s hard not to get excited about him today, especially with the market systematically underrating the Rockets.

🔥 2nd leg: Draymond Green Under 5.5 assists ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Death, taxes, and Green crashing out. Green averaged just 4.8 assists per game against the Rockets this year, going over the 5.5 assists in just one of his four appearances, in no small part due to foul trouble. Green averaged 4.3 personal fouls per game over that sample.

Green commits too many personals for his unders to not be an attractive option. In the 2023 postseason, he averaged four personals per game over 12 appearances. That average remains four when we zoom out to include the 22 playoff games Green played during Golden State’s 2021-22 title run.

🔥 3rd leg: Buddy Hield Over 1.5 made 3-pointers ⭐⭐⭐

The Rockets will throw everything they can at Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler. They managed to hold Curry to an average of only 16.3 points per game this year. However, the books are aware of this, and Curry’s points prop is set to 24.5. We can’t fade the best shooter in the game at that number - but we can back a teammate who stands to benefit from Houston’s scheme.

When the Rockets close out on Curry or collapse to stop Butler, Hield is likely to get left open on the perimeter. In the three games that Hield played against the Rockets with Curry, he tallied nine 3-pointers, going over this line twice. He even hit six 3-pointers in 25 minutes against Houston a few weeks ago. Look for him to hit at least a pair of treys tonight.
