Butler is an example of what makes betting on playoff basketball so much more difficult than the regular season. He's the absolute embodiment of players just finding another gear in the postseason, and the data just fails to account for that at some point.
That's why, naturally, we're taking an Over with Butler for tonight's second game of this series. After averaging 17.9 points on just 32.7 minutes in 30 regular-season games with the Warriors, Playoff Jimmy arrived in Houston for Game 1.
He dropped 25 points and added six assists and seven rebounds in more than 42 minutes, combining for 38 points, rebounds, and assists. I expect another similar performance tonight.
At a certain point, you have to feel for the Rockets. All this work to build this talented team, and they run into a playoff juggernaut. But remember, we never feel bad enough to not bet on their demise.

🔥 Jalen Green Over 17.5 points (-118 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Green was the worst shooter on the floor in Game 1 - though Fred VanVleet tried his best to earn that honor - by going 3-for-15 from the floor. Following that seven-point dud, I expect him to rebound tonight in Game 2.
He led the Rockets with 21 points per game this season, and we know Green is going to get as many looks as he wants after finishing fifth in the NBA this season in field-goal attempts. With the Rockets facing a devastating 2-0 hole in this series, I think we see Green easily eclipse 20 field-goal attempts tonight.
Therefore, unless he shoots 20% from the floor again, this is a relatively low bar to clear for the guard.

🔥 Alperen Sengun Under 4.5 assists (-140 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐
Sengun should finish with more than the single assist he managed in Game 1. After all, he averaged 4.9 for the season.
However, this is a pretty high bar to clear when you account for that season average, which is the reason why all of our other best sports betting sites are hovering in the -160 range to back this Under.
In fact, BetMGM is as short as -175, which mimics the price available at Pinnacle, perhaps the sharpest sportsbook in the industry.
Offense should be way up from Game 1, which finished with a total of only 180 points, but I don't think it'll be enough for Sengun to get to five dimes.
